I create enterprise systems by day and ship my own apps at night. I love working across the whole product, from figuring out how it should work to making it actually work.
ABOUT ME
I've been a researcher, systems thinker, and builder, sometimes all three in the same afternoon. I can't leave a problem alone until it's actually solved, not just designed. 4+ years in, I still haven't figured out how to stop caring about the details. Probably not going to.
I run my life like a tracked system; nutrition, training, the work, all logged and questioned. I'm a research-driven designer who actually likes the friction. I'd rather be tested than flattered; tell me my assumption is wrong and I'll thank you. I build scalable systems, run real user research, and sweat the end-to-end details across web and mobile. Then I close the laptop and become the happiest guy on the dance floor.
I don't take myself too seriously. I go deep on the big stuff and stay goofy on the small stuff, sometimes in the same sentence. Both make the work better.

WHAT I DO
Mostly four things, and I'd rather show them than sell them. I design products end to end, the messy first idea through to something that actually ships. I turn one-off screens into design systems because I can't leave a pattern alone. I run the unglamorous kind of research, real interviews and testing, since I'd rather be wrong early than confident and wrong late. And lately what I hand off is working software instead of a picture of it, because a picture of a product and an actual product are not the same thing.
