UX/UI Design | Web & Mobile
Project Overview
Goal
Reskin UI and improve consistency
Redesign UI/UX with a new layout that improves discoverability of new and old features
Notify users of the upcoming UI update and allow them to opt-in to this new experience
Increase platform usability
Challenges
Existing UX/UI was outdated, it was not in a place to scale, maintain and increase efficiency, enhance functionality, be used intuitively, and offer significant value to our users.
There were technical and time limitations as we worked in 2 week sprints and there were times where the Development team was not able to implement certain designs/features.

Context
As part of an ongoing transition to a modernized version of the service, we wanted to enhance user experience and streamline workflows by redesigning key pages (and notify our users of this transition). We wanted to expand certain functionalities to add flexibility and accommodate a broader range of learning materials.
Outcome
Achieved a 25% annual growth in direct LMS bookings in 2024 (Year-to-Date).
Contributed to an 18% annual growth in total company revenue in 2024.

UI Refresh
As I advanced in my design career, I realized my older designs didn’t reflect my current skills in visual hierarchy, typography, color, and spacing. To showcase my growth, I refined some key screens by:
✅ Enhancing Visual Aesthetics – Improved typography, spacing, and color harmony.
✅ Strengthening Usability – Clearer navigation, better CTAs, and improved readability.
✅ Applying Design Best Practices – More consistent grids, refined corner radiuses, and a polished UI system.
These updates demonstrate how my design knowledge and Figma expertise have evolved, leading to cleaner, more effective interfaces.

Successes
My designs contributed to measurable outcomes, such as a 25% annual growth in LMS bookings and an 18% increase in total revenue, showcasing the impact of user-focused design on business performance.
Also, I strengthened cross-functional collaboration by working closely with PMs, developers, and the CEO, ensuring alignment and smooth handoffs.
In addition, I delivered responsive designs and scalable solutions that streamlined user workflows and enhanced platform usability for both administrators and learners.
Learning Opportunities
I learned to balance differing priorities and expectations from PMs, the CEO, and users while maintaining a clear design vision.
Also, I improved my ability to embrace and act on constructive feedback, recognizing its importance in refining designs to meet real-world needs.
In addition, I identified opportunities to improve design-to-development handoff by providing clearer annotations and holding more collaborative handoff sessions.
Finally, I developed strategies to manage tight deadlines without compromising quality, but recognized the need to refine time management and prioritization skills further.
